Tax Information

The Tax Collector collects property taxes for every government agency in Palm Beach County that has the authority to levy taxes. Ad valorem and non-ad valorem assessments are due on November 1, or as soon after the tax roll is certified. Discounts for property tax payments are allowed at the rate of 4 percent in November (or within 30 days from when the notice is mailed), 3 percent in December, 2 percent in January, and 1 percent in February. The North County courthouse, located at 3188 PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens, contains the local office. The Courthouse phone number is 355-2272.

Vessel Registration/Titles – Motorboats used in fresh or salt water must be registered at the Tax collector’s office. You need to bring a Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin, (MSO) or its equivalent when you register the vessel. Florida recognized valid registration certificates and numbers issued to nonresident vessel owners by other states for ninety days. If you plan to use the vessel in Florida longer than ninety days, you need to register in Florida as described above. Bring your out-of-state registration/title with you when you come to the Tax Collector’s office located inside the North County Courthouse, Call 355-2272.

Voter Registration – You must be a legal resident of the County you are registering in, although proof of residency is not required. You may obtain an application at the voter registration office found inside the North County Courthouse or at any public library, driver’s license office and most banks. An application can be mailed to you by calling the Supervisor of Elections office at 355-2650.
